Elaine Warren, M.Ac., L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist with a Master of Acupuncture from the Maryland University of Integrative Health, formerly the Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, MD. She has been in practice since 2013.
She first enjoyed the benefits of acupuncture as a patient with chronic low back pain and the occasional insomnia and anxiety – symptoms that are common to many who are engaged in the goings and doings of a full life with work and children as she had for 20 plus years as a regulatory analyst in the securities market. The possibility of practicing acupuncture as a vocation for herself came into view after a proverbial long dark night of the soul aka midlife crisis that brewed on for a number of years. The notion of being of service to others became an urgent call as she pondered the second act of life.
She enrolled in Tai Sophia eager to produce clinical effectiveness to help ease suffering. The greater gift she received was to learn that her role would not be limited to a “fixer” of pain and symptoms but that she could serve in the role of a conduit to cultivate deep inner healing. It has become her great joy to walk with each one of her patients while lessening their suffering; to help each one come to life more fully and more aware of their own gifts made possible when the healing reaches all levels of body mind spirit.
Each day you may find Elaine practicing her medicine in a deep and joyful bow to the great Oneness of life.
Elaine’s practice is located in Kensington, MD. She is available by appointment, Monday through Saturday.
